The 2-Ring French link gag bit offers a wide variety of uses. Use the lower ring for additional leverage on the poll and maximum “gag” effect. The larger ring is used for mild “gag” action, less poll pressure and more action on the bars. The center french link creates centralized tongue pressure to encourage stopping. Having a 3-piece mouth is readily accepted by many horses as it reduces the nutcracker effect. The 4.5″ & 5″ sizes have smaller cheeks.
